Connected battery does not conform to system standards
The battery connected to the drive unit does not conform to Shimano's system standards at all — for example a third-party or wrong battery — and no system functions will start. After a power cycle the error usually remains until a genuine, compatible battery is fitted. The dealer can verify which battery belongs to the system.

Roadside self-help
- Turn the power off and on again.
- Fit the original battery if a different one was installed; otherwise contact the dealer.
