Communication error between battery and drive unit
The battery and the drive unit can no longer communicate, so assist stops. The cause is usually in the connection path: loose plugs, corroded contacts or a damaged power cable between battery mount and motor. Reseating the battery is worth a try; a persistent error requires the dealer to inspect cabling and connectors.

Roadside self-help
- Remove the battery, check the contacts for dirt, and reseat it firmly.
- Restart the system.
- If the error persists, have the dealer inspect the cable between battery and motor.
