Bosch eBike Systems Sensors

504

Speed signal manipulation detected

The system has detected an implausible or manipulated speed signal, which Bosch interprets as possible tuning. It can also be triggered by a wrongly positioned or non-original spoke magnet. While the error is active, drive assistance is deliberately reduced. Repeated tuning detections can require a dealer visit to fully unlock the system again.

How to read e-bike error codes

Unlike cars (OBD-II), e-bike codes are manufacturer-specific: the same number means something different on a Bosch than on a Shimano system. What matters is always the combination of drive system and code.
